Friendship Accountability

Sometimes we may not realize just how much being ourselves creates a safe space for someone else. This question about our friends properly holding us accountable directly speaks to this. There is nothing worse than someone giving unsolicited advice. That’s why it’s so nice to just continue to be the best you can be and naturally, people are going to want to pick your brain for your perspective, they are going to be interested in your take on them because they value you. My friends holding me accountable is always from love, always from a place of respect and I wouldn’t expect any different because that’s who I know them to be. We never want to be a "living in a glass house" type and honestly, no one has it all figured out. So, sometimes just being there for someone and providing that listening ear goes a long way. Your presence alone can encourage accountability.
